Our first visit @  Boracay, Philippines

Get In:

By air

Boracay is served by two airports in Aklan province: one in Kalibo and Godofredo P. Ramos Airport (commonly referred to as "Caticlan airport") in Malay.

Daily flight from Manila and Cebu , operated by Airphil Express and Cebupacificair.

Other routes via Kalibo International airport , about 2 hours ride by land from Kalibo to Caticalan.

By sea

The western part of the Strong Republic Nautical Highway (SRNH) passes through Caticlan, with car ferries from Roxas, Oriental Mindoro docking at the Caticlan jetty port. Several bus companies operate provincial bus routes from Manila which pass through Caticlan via the SRNH.

On the island

Whether you go by plane or by boat, the port of entry for Boracay Island is the small town of Caticlan on the mainland. Outrigger boats or "bancas" leave every few minutes from Caticlan's jetty port.

The two main modes of transport are via motor-tricycles along the main road or by walking along the beaches. Pedicabs are also available for transport along the Beachfront Path. Other means of transportation include mountain bikes, quadbikes and motorbikes, all of which can be rented.

Accomodation:

From 5 stars to budget inn, you can choose how far your budget can.. As we are on a budget trips, we book in a budget resort located at the White Beach @ Sta. 3 where most of budget accommodation are located. If you prefer peace and quiet, go to Boat Station 3 @ White Beach has a more relaxed and peaceful vibe. Accommodation is more reasonably priced, and there are some friendly little bars and restaurants where you can meet people and chat. North of station 1 you'll find many of the more luxurious (and expensive) establishments. The beach is at it's widest here, and the area is usually relatively peaceful.

We stay at The Orchids Boracay Resort,  located at Station 3 a native styled rooms they can offered from reasonable price per night. A hotel staff will pick up at the Caticlan airport guide you to the resort, they will arranged once you confirm your booking with them.
